Having thrown himself wholeheartedly into directing his latest project, The Boys in the Boat, George Clooney has been quite the stress head in recent months. But with his film now in post-production, the Hollywood heavyweight jetted to Greece for a much-needed break.

New photos of George, 62, in sunny Mykonos show him having an emotional breakdown as he arrived for a fancy lunch.

Clearly elated to be there, George seemed overwhelmed with joy as he stretched his arms to welcome the sun’s rays.

The solo trip away has been a long time coming for George. Those close to the actor and his wife, Amal, reveal that this year has proven to be a questionable one for the once unflappable lovebirds.

“George has been in fine form in Mykonos, very much enjoying his time,” an insider tells New Idea. They add that this holiday to the Greek island, famous for its vibrant nightlife, was so George could have some deserved downtime from his boisterous six-year-old twins Alexander and Ella.
